SailKote Cruising Application Guide

Below are examples of how to apply SailKote. Use it where indicated to see the improvement in your boat’s performance.

A	Battens and Batten Pockets Apply to full-length battens to help them to slide in and out easily. Minimizes friction during tacks and jibes and helps the sail to fill quickly and easily.
B	Mainsail Track Makes raising and lowering the main much easier in all conditions. SailKote will not attract dirt and contaminants that foul the track. Reefing under load is almost effortless.
C	Standing Rigging Apply to all standing rigging—minimizes sail chafe and friction; Tacks and jibes are easier and more efficient.
D	Blocks Blocks stay corrosion free and lubricated for exceptionally easy and reliable operation.
E	Hatches / Companion Way Tracks Spray hatches and companion way tracks to prevent corrosion and reduce friction.
F	Travelers and Cars Keep travelers and cars moving smoothly while preventing corrosion free. Ball bearings will not gum up and will not attract dirt and grime.
G	Mechanical Instruments Improve longevity and accuracy of instruments—wind speed, direction and knot indicators.
H	Headsails Keeps headsails and spinnakers dry and friction free. Minimizes friction from rubbing during tacks and jibes, maximizes sail life, and helps to maintain sail shape.
I	Mast / Spreaders Apply to the mast and spreaders—reduces headsail to mast friction during tacks and jibes.
J	Telltales Prevent sticking to sails even when wet.
K	Jib Furling Gear Lubricates and protects jib furling gear without gumming up—increases longevity and reduces friction.
L	Displacement & Planning Hulls Hull will stay cleaner at the waterline and reduce drag. Marine growth and waterborne contaminants find it difficult to adhere to the slick, hard, non-porous coating.
M	Keels / Centerboards & Rudders Helps shed kelp and seaweed more easily, and helps maintain laminar flow. Raising and lowering daggerboards and centerboards nearly effortless.
N	Tiller Head / Pintles & Steering Hardware Prevents corrosion and increases tiller sensitivity by reducing friction.
