It has the same lubricating power as the original Sailkote™ for everything that moves on your boat, and it adds something new: it keeps your telltales flying. It also dries clear, so it won’t leave a chalky film on sails, windows, or hardware.
Telltales only help when they’re free to move. Too often they aren’t: static cling and moisture glue them to the sail, and a stuck telltale tells you nothing, or worse, tells you the wrong thing. We solved that. Sailkote Clear reduces static cling and repels water, so telltales stay free to respond to the airflow in any weather. Drivers and trimmers get precise, reliable feedback, and better feedback means better speed and pointing. Beyond telltales, Sailkote Clear works everywhere the original does: sail and mast tracks, slides, hatches, drawers, sliding doors, and anywhere else friction occurs. It bonds to any clean, dry surface, repels dirt, salt, and contaminants, reduces drag in air and water, and helps prevent rust and corrosion.
Application is simple. Spray or wipe one to two thin, even coats onto clean, dry surfaces. For telltales, coat the telltales themselves along with the surrounding sail area and any telltale windows. On tracks, slides, and hardware, use it the same way, wherever friction is slowing you down.
