Raw Water Impeller Pump
Hello, I'm wondering if I could spray the inside surfaces of the raw water pump on my inboard diesel with McLube to reduce the friction on the impeller? Obviously I would need to dry & clean the surfaces first but are you aware of any reasons NOT to try this? The engine is a Yanmar 3YM30 with a Johnson raw water pump. Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to post your question.
I think this is a great application for the Sailkote dry film lubricant product. The flow testing supports the fact that Sailkote greatly reduces friction, and this application is really no different.
